N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

W M R could be W Moyle Rogers??? Pencil notes in a similar hand are on a number of these Rosa sheets, and not too different to Rogers' handwriting; maybe it was for Rogers people were collecting this large set (lacking a herbarium name)???

In this instance 'WHP' is Rev W H Purchas (the h/w is his and he was collecting around Llan'dod on that date).

The other handwriting on the sheet is Rev A Ley's, though WMR are certainly Rogers's initials (he wrote a critical slim volume on Rosa).

Ley was collecting elsewhere that day so it looks as if the specimens represent one collection by Purchas, det Rogers, ex herb Ley.
