P arifolium does not exist under this name in any of my books. It also does not appear to fit and of the described Polygonum species, unless the specimens are seedlings or young plants in which case it may fit P. bistorta L, but even young the leaves seem too rounded, due to the sites these specimens came from I looked long at P amphibium L but not only do the leaves not match well but the upper stems are hairy thus not fitting any Polygonum, This is one for somebody more knowledge then I, could well not be Polygonum at all. comments apply to both plants, I shall be very interested in the outcome.
