Slake Farm NY6627 is the only place in Cumbria on the OS Gazetteer and could be considered in the gap between the Lakes and the Northern Fells. South of the Cumberland border though.

It is in fact Slakes (not Slake) Farm.

However Stake Pass NY265085 is on the vc boundary see http://herbariaunited.org/gridrefVC/?gridref=NY265085&lat=&long=&lrsheet=&lreast=&lrnorth=&do=search&search=look-up+county+or+grid-reference#sf
and is probably what was intended.

I am sure that's it - I have looked for this before and for some reason failed then as well - although I remember the name from my days on the Langdales!
