Not sure but as collected in Monmouthshire, if got geol correct from site on "Devonian conglomerates" and from CTW E. key: E. (appropriately) confusa seems to be best bet from the photo... Any agreement of better ID??

On the geographic issue, Trevor Evans' Flora of Monmouthshire records only 2 Euphrasia spp for the areas around Catbrook - Monmouth - Chepstow (ie the E of the county); E anglica & E rostkoviana ssp rostkoviana. He states E confusa is confined to the NW uplands of the county. Both these areas and the land between are Devonian.

Thanks - based on which - seems that top right pair and lowest (3rd row) pair may fit E. rostkoviana (if use internode length shorter than cauline leaves at base changing to longer at top as about only visible differentiating feature from E. anglica). Remainder then probably ought to be E. anglica: middle row right seems reasonable fit. But top left's seems to have much smaller leaves (E. confusa like) and some of others seem intermediate between E. r and E. a if not others.... reckon would need clearer view of leaves to be positive unless anyone can make them out? Or should one just leave it as E. specimens of various nk species or variation within one or more sp.
