Sow [or Sowe] might specifically mean Walsgrave-on-Sowe (but probably best to keep the record non-specific at the moment)

Near Sow[e] Waste there is a Moat House at Potters Green on the OS First Series and on the Old OS 25k on Where's The Path. Streetmap still shows Moat House Park when zoomed in at OS SP369820.
