Edit history
N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

- I read this as Moseley not Madeley, & have edited in; also he has a specimen from Birmingham the same date. I discount Rf referring to his brother Charles James Rufus, who I think only collected on seaside holidays. Species: Phipps identified as N stricta, but entered on H@H as Vulpia unilateralis (also called Nardurus maritimus); I notice the leaf-sheaths in this specimen which in N stricta are all in a basal cushion; 'Cope & Gray' states the 2 species are superficially similar; and was not recorded until 1903; in Lincs and in only a few localities before 1949, and was regarded as a neophyte; but that Stace, Hubbard and others regard it as a native which had been overlooked; accordingly on Waiting List re conservation status. Could this specimen be first British record??
