| Is Rowena M Ferguson the same person as 'R M Fish'?? And is she associated with Leslie Audus?? And does 'R M Fish' exist? |

Rowena Mabel Ferguson married Leslie Audus. She signed her herbarium labels 'RMF' and they were once mistakenly attributed to the non-existent 'R M Fish'. She hailed from Barrow in Furness where her father was Chairman of the Naturalists' Field Club. Her labels are distinctive.
All this information, and more, has previously appeared in this forum and the confusion corrected, or so one thought. |

| Thanks! Having looked at vario various of her specimens, it appears they may be subject to some sort of automatic edit that changes them to 'Fish' |

As far as I know there isn't any automatic substitution going on - there certainly isn't meant to be.
'R M Fish' is in Kent & Allen, so may be a valid botanist name - but all the Aberystwyth R.M.F. specimens are Ferguson's. |
