N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

The original label ? is very unclear and the new label seems to be a 'loose' interpretation of it.
I feel that "Black Stain" is more likely to be Black stone VC3. and I am unsure where a "Mrs Summess" appears as collector, what do others think.

I've added 'Mrs D W Summers' as collector (presumably the relabeller had some evidence for this). I agree with you that the locality is odd, and I doubt that anything better than 'England' is possible.

regards,

Tom

Entirely a guess, but Black Stane is on Shetland (while Ysgolion Duon on Carnedd Dafydd could be translated as black stair - and Mrs Summers collected mainly in North Wales) of course neither place is in England (new label)
