No help but I read it as A H Hicks --- Can't trace a likely candidate for AJ or AH so guess best bet is wait for him/er to appear on future sheets when a timeline will emerge... Or find a way to access Desmond's Dictionary of British and irish botanists, where most likely to be listed...
