N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

I don't understand why there is a conflict of date

The warning was due to the supposed date ranges of different incarnations of the BSBI. The society has changed its name several times and the name variant 'Botancial Exchange Club of the British Isles' although stamped on the sheet had become the 'Botanical Society and Exchange Club of the British Isles' by the time this specimen was collected. So a non-issue really.

It was probably a mistake for me to have ever drawn a distinction between the different names in the database, as it just causes confusion like this without any real benefit.
