N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

There is a Barcombe in EAST Sussex, so may I ask what "Barcomb 57829" refers to? There appears to be no collector or date...

It is the rather strange way in which Joseph Woods indicated the date, see back for note by petracapensis

In A.J. Wilmott's 1949 notes on the SLBI Herbarium he writes,

"Joseph Woods used a system similar to that used by Robert Brown.

He indicated the date by putting first the last two numbers of the year, then the number or numbers of the month, and then the day of the month.

Thus 266 means June 1826 and
4366 means 6th June 1843. "
