is mentioned in a synonymy by Michael Hassler as Viola tricolor ssp tricolor. This record is mentioned in the J.F.Rayner 1929 supplement to the F.Townsend [1904] Flora of Hants & IW. There is also a record of V. tricolor ssp tricolor by Miss Palmer in the latter.
