N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

I couldn't decipher all of the labels, nor decide whether they were all written by Noe, nor guess who or what 'Porta' is; also I couldn't open the 'country' box for Italy.

Somewhere on the message board it says that the foreign sheets were scanned in error at the moment. I have edited in what I can re Switzerland and Italy.

Thanks - I like those foreign sheets though - and some of them are together with a British specimen, or help elucidate what looks like a British specimen but isn't

P. Porta was a Tyrolean (?) botanist and, with G. Rigo, an associate of Fr Rupert Huter. See http://kiki.huh.harvard.edu/databases/botanist_search.php?botanistid=79807
