N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

I have put Woods' name in as it corresponds in detail with http://herbariaunited.org/specimen/316219/ and http://herbariaunited.org/specimen/314459/

A large part of Joseph Woods (1776-1864) herbarium collection (British and continental European) passed to Frederick Townsend on his death.

Subsequently, on the latters death in 1905, they found their way to A.O Hume for the herbarium he was building for what was, in 1910, to become the South London Botanical institute (SLBI) - where they remain.
This explains the recurring J.Woods / F.Townsend / A.O.Hume connection.
