Interesting. I guess you're right, the coast of Croatia near Rijeka being Noe's main area; and I see Veglia / Krk is the main island there - though I can't find an Italian, German or Slavic clue to the other names.
I was encouraged to read Nile, by Noe's long habitation in Istanbul. My question then would be, where is Aegypten, on Noe's sheet http://herbariaunited.org/specimen/322399/ which I'm having no luck locating.....

is it not just :
Aegypten [or Ägypten] german = Egypt.
so not very specific !
