My interpretation of this sheet is that the Charles Bailey provenance applies only to the Hardy specimen and likewise the G S West provenance only to the Oakeshott specimen. The two specimens appear on the same sheet only because they belong to the same species. This appears to be a curatorial policy prevalent at BIRM. If I am correct it means that the provenance of a great many specimens has been unwittingly confused by H@H volunteers ascribing to them an incorrect ex herb attribution. Does anyone agree with me? If so, we should agree a protocol.
