N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

There is no Rev R V Murray on the various census returns (of the late C19th) nor amongst the alumni of Oxford and Cambridge (where many of the Clergy trained).
However, examination of specimens from Rev Richard Paget Murray indicates that his signature could easily be interpreted as R V Murray.
I would suggest that perhaps the specimen has been remounted / original label removed ...., and someone has written the name as Rev R V Murray, rather than R P Murray.
See specimens of Rev R P Murray's handwriting / signature below.
Rev R P Murray read Natural Sciences at Cambridge, was a FLS and was based at various times in Devon, Somerset, Dorset & Beckenham.

I had reached the same conclusion as Chris.

Murray's well thought-of Flora of Somerset was published in instalments in the Proceedings of the Somersetshire Archaeological and Natural History Society (final instalment 1896).
