Thanks, that does seem rather likely. I can't recognise handwriting, though 'Cornwall' appears to be added in F Townsend's handwriting

On the Ordnance Survey First Series 1:63360 1805 to 1869, Crantock, south of Newquay, is indeed given as Cranstock.
