N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

Byatt gives a tetrad reference of 26A3 equivalent to TQ26C indicatiing a pavement west of Worcester Park.

Can xmhcman provide a link to a fuller explanation? I can follow the logic of the 10 km square reference, but is the TQ based on knowledge of where Mrs Byatt worked or is there an explicit reference to a particular 100 km square? And why does A3 indicate tetrad C?

The specimen needs further editing to put the grid reference in the correct field and add v.c. info, but I'm reluctant to do so without first understanding how he reached this conclusion.
