N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names. Log-in to edit this sheet.

Almost all the Launceston sheets are collected by William Wise, usually from the area immediately around Launceston.

I'd been looking for ages to find a place named 'Beton' or 'Biton' ...

Wise's handwriting on first inspection looks quite neat / readable but is often quite difficult to decipher. |

Thanks to Tom Humphrey & meiosis1 for deciphering William Wise's signature.
I'm having trouble with another sheet where the locality looks like "Dineton Wharf"; perhaps this too is on the river Kinsey? |

Well there is a Dilston along the river - if you can persuade yourself that his writing might read that way !!!

I'm stuck on it, though I think it may end with 'ow' rather than 'on'.
If it's any help, here's the sheet:
