- This is Centaurium erythraea as correctly labelled by Mudd. C. littorale as implied by its specific epithet is a seaside plant: Ayton is well inland.
On H@H there are specimens of C. erythraea from VCC 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 9, 10, 11, 13, 17, 19, 28, 30, 36 and 38 which have been incorrectly posted as C. littorale (and which for the most part were correctly determined by the collector): these await correction. The remaining specimens of C. littorale should be checked individually.
