Looking on Streetmap gives 'Colt Park Wood' at:
SE065985, between Grinton and Marrick, in Swaledale due west of Richmond (VC 65 I think),
and at SD775775, S of Ribblehead Station,
The latter being that described by Lousley in 'Wild Flowers of Chalk & Limestone' as THE Colt Park Wood - 'one of the most remarkable and uncanny woods in Britain'
Ingleton is to the west of the latter at SD695735 being the nearest town
Apologies if that's what you knew already!

brilliant thank you I had forgotten Streetmap I use Where's the [path and it didn't come up on that
