N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

From style of labels, I take collector to be Joseph Woods - but they don't have his usual monogram. I couldn't read the left-hand label (unless it's 'near Tunbridge Wells?) Woods collections around this date are from East Sussex & East Kent. Ashcombe - there are many such in Southern England & elsewhere, Woods collections around this date are from Lewes which suggests TQ385095.

These specimens have all been remounted: no doubt Woods's monogram fell victim to the curator's hasty scissors.

There is an Ashcombe (TQ3711) near Lewes. Lewes is the recorded locality of another plant collected on 22/7/1856 http://herbariaunited.org/specimen/331231/
