N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

Place
name not very legible. Species 'carfrinifolius' (not very legible) Image not
very clear...difficult to see if any petals; appears as if fruits may be
evident.

You are right on the place-name. If in doubt re fruits (as I am), leave blank. No need to worry about the old name carpinifolius (hornbeam-leaved) as we go with the name as edited in by H@H, unless we firmly disagree. The modern name has been determined by D E Allen and this is entered by clicking on the box with '...' next to the species name. The collector is Augustin Ley; most names come up on the menu if initials or other shortened version ag A L are entered. Keep perservering and good luck!
