See http://herbariaunited.org/specimen/260893/ (ex herb Ley) for another specimen of this taxon with the same provenance. It is a pity that the BEC Report for 1893 (to which we are directed by a note on Ley's specimen) is not available online in BSBI Archives.

As presently documented this form bears the names of four different taxa, none of which is correct: it is confusing and unnecessary to transcribe every passing attempt to ID a spmn.

This should be renamed Potentilla erecta x reptans = P. x italica Lehm.
