N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

I think the date is that of the donation (possibly the bequest of Prior, as it's a year after he died) rather than the collection date.

The collector might be C E Broome, the are some other Wiltshire specimens from him, but that's just speculation.

Yes, thank you. - "legato" = legacy? Makes sense tho hadn't come across this before!
Any knowledge about C E Broome vs E Broome? I think there is only one sheet for the latter [tow photos of the same sheet] and the date [1835] seems OK for C E Broome as well, so could they be the same person?

Yes; ex legato - 'from the bequest'.

C E Broome was a noted mycologist; see http://www.enotes.com/topic/Christopher_Edmund_Broome who also collected phanerogams. He is the likely collector of this spmn.
