N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

The rather 'extravagant' B is indicative of Arthur .....

Taking this signature as Arthur's (1843-1929), which I think has been people's usual choice, I now notice that often there is a small upstroke between the A and B, suggesting the monogram AWB, Alfred William Bennett (1833-1902)??? Apologies for writing Arnold previously

the top one is taken from one of his Hort Croydon labels, and I have examined his sheets at SLBI and at the NHM but go with what you are happy with.

I am happy with Arthur and merely put the alternative forward by way of a query

Gnats and camels?

The only other specimen on H@H attributed to "W Stewart" was collected in 1973. I suggest that Arthur Bennett actually wrote "Mr Stewart" and that this collector is S. A. Stewart; cf. http://herbariaunited.org/specimen/213301/ .
