N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

While an undergraduate at UCL (c. 1905-1908) Salisbury took part in Prof. Oliver's field trips to Bouche d'Erquy, in Brittany, hence:

A certain Professor of Botany
To save his class from monotony
Led his students a dance
Round a salt marsh in France
To develop their brains, if they've got any.

"Imperial Ecology: Environmental Order in the British Empire, 1895-1945", Anker, 2001.

A series examined in parts
Is subject to many false starts
As when a collection
Of parochial selection
Came by bike from Harpenden (Herts)
