N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

Locality 'Airness' cannot be traced. There is a 'Cairness' near Fraserburgh, Aberdeenshire, not far from the sea.

I don't think this is 'Culdrose', but Culrose or Culross; also M&M has Scottish specimens from this time, but not Cornish. I feel they collectively need a fresh look due to uncertain legibility, before coming to judgement. Also I couldn't find any other inscription on this sheet than the species name, so couldn't see where 'Airness' or similar came from?

"Culrose" appears to be part only of a longer string of letters.

Similarly, "Airness" is part only of a string reading 'maritimus'!
