Is this really Turin? Clova or Angus much more likely. The second name reads like ??'Pitscandby'

Yes, it really is Turin, but Turin Hill (252m OS NO5153) which has Pitscandly Hill about 2km to the west (211m OS NO4952). Both within 10km of Forfar the home of George Don senior and junior, the latter being about 11 years old at the time.
