In a landscape now much modified by the railway, the M1, and the Royal Vet. College, the Ordnance Survey First Series, 1:63360, sheet 7 (1856) shows Warren Gate on the lane from South to North Mims (now South Mimms, and North Mymms) at TL230031, in striking distance of Barnet.
