N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

The labelling is confused by a) the fact Renton's other specimens, including 2 from following month, are from the Scottish Borders; b) 'Sea Mills' is found in at least 2 places other than near Clifton; c) a second label on the sheet '2 miles SW of Kenmare[South Kerry], N side of bay, W W [William West]' d) the letter in image 2 dated 1915 from J W White (of Clifton) to 'Mr Thompson' who had visited him (HST?) of ? J gerardii x compressus from Highbridge (N Somerset); e) a question mark against R Renton. NB W West's other collections of 7/1876 were up north.
