Looking at the label on specimen 328917:



... it is possible to read 'SE of Meon Hants' which suggests Coombe Wood at OS SU6718. So presumably all Woods' records under that location for that day must have been from there despite his variations of spelling.

I spent a long time looking at that label without deciphering it...

have changed the specimens to Hampshire
