As it seems to be unusual for Dulwich College collectors to give a full name, I was interested to find one 'Perrean' today. It appears to read 'Coll. Perrean' or it might be 'C N Perrean'

Shown here from specimen 347072:

I found one other instance as 'M Perrean' in specimen 324303:

I went for Perrean as the capital letter P looks the same as that in the order name of Portulacaceae on specimen 324303. It could be Perreau, though.

This is tricky, as there is also the T in 'Tripolium' and 'Teesdale' on:

I do find that the various initials in this handwriting eg 'JHP' can read differently in different examples. (And are they all written / transcribed in the same person's handwriting?)

There are some records via google of a Col. Charles Montague Perreau at Flexford House. Some of the sheets are probably attributable to him, but there are some others with non-matching initials.

http://herbariaunited.org/specimensearch/?taxon=&taxonid=&collector=%22Perreau%22&colid=&role=prov&from=&to=&search=search&Country=gbie&VC=all&place=&placeid=&Inst=all&search=search#searchlist

I suspect that many of the Dulwich College initialed labels (M.P./M.D. and possible J W P) may be Perreau.

Ancestry.co.uk has a probate record for Montague Charles Perrean of Flexford House, dod 6/1/1917 [which has been edited to Perreau]

There are evidently Perreans / Perreaus and Teesdales also:

It would be useful to keep all these bits and pieces together - as and when they "arrive"
