I will give up using the place name searches on this site and just use Google etc. instead. Very Happy
Not sure why he put an L after the place name though.

I see what you mean about the L - I don't think Linnaeus ever visited! I mainly use 'Streetmap' and can't get on with OS.

The penny has dropped. I am guessing that the label is probably not the original one, and whoever copied it thought that Stow maries was an alternative scientific name.
