N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

Bromfield (1856) excludes this sp but remarks a record from J. Woods jun in Bot. Guide as 'Serapias longifolia', 'between Shanklin and Godshill' (where there was suitable habitat). He points out the name has a much confused nomenclature having been used to denote three different sp before that time. C. longifolia has never been confirmed for vc10 and Woods' is the only record.
