Judging by the grid reference system (35C1) I think this 'J B' is Mrs Jean Irene Byatt who collected in with 'R C' possibly R Clarke. Byatt collected in east Surrey (CNHS) so it is possible to add the prefix TQ to get TQ35. I think she referenced tetrads within the hectad by columns A to E west to east, and rows 1 to 5, south to north, so this corresponds to TQ35K around Godstone.
