N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

Tom, this is from France. Perhaps you could add countries to the list, and just accept text for placenames? Then you can revisit sheets for other countries at a later date.

Hi Alex,

I've been testing a new version tonight which adds limited support for additional countries (including broad region names for many countries, but not a full gazetteer), most of the code for this was done quite a while ago, but I'd not tried enabling it before. In the new version the country list has the standard GB and Ireland entries, but with an additional 'More countries' option that causes the list to expand.

The new version is accessible by following links from the alpha version page, but is likely to be too bug-ridden to use as the mainstream version currently, I'll switch over to it soon, once it's better tested.

regards,

Tom.

Thanks, Tom

Not intending to nag! Just a suggestion. Should have known you'd be working on it.
