N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

Can't read " in Teesdale" location. Upper label also problematic, St Bernard, backwards date?

Upper specimens: "below Grand St Bernard" - could be either Switzerland or France. As you say, could be 1860 or 1880, but there may be other Townsend plants for comparison.

Lower specimens: prob coll Ibbotson. He has written "Yorks" and overwritten "Durham". Does it say "pastures in Teesdale"?
