N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

I couldn't locate 'Loriston Loch'. I found no clue from other Hanbury specimens; no others from the county

I have tentatively edited in Loirston Loch, just S of Aberdeen.
OS Grid reference NJ937010
. He collected in VC90 and VC92 in the 1880s so may have popped over into the next county!
There is another sheet http://herbariaunited.org/specimen/284994/ from the same date which looks more like Loch Loiston, too.

Re: this post and that about specimen 30255. There are not many lochs in Kincardineshire to choose from, apparently, so I think we have the place right:

Cambridge County Geographies: Kincardineshire p 18. says:

The lochs in the county are few and small. The Loch of Leys in Banchory was over 2 miles in Circuit, but is now drained; Loirston Loch in Nigg 27 acres [10.9 ha; so just over ~500x210m] in extent.

And the gazetteer of Scotland says:
Loirston, a loch (3 x 1½ furl. [600x300m]) in Nigg parish, Kincardineshire, 1¼ mile [2km] SSW of the parish church.
