notes:The label on the sheet indicates Salix myrsinites (male) x phylicifolia (female) by design at Shirley as does a reference by W.R. Linton. An additional reference adds : - S. myrsinites x phylicifolia. Origin, Little Craigindall, South Aberdeen; cult. May and July 1897. Marked by the glabrous lurid-green foliage, and nectaries mostly forked. I think probably the hybrid. - W.R. Linton.
