Biography

Daniel Angell Jones

Born Liverpool 14 July 1861
By 1863 his family had moved to Portmadog, Caernarvonshire.
By 1871 the family had moved again to Harlech, Merionethshire.
In the early 1880s he lived and worked as a teacher in Widnes, Lancashire.
1886 he was a school teacher in Machynlleth.
1892 returned to Harlech, where he lived at Rock House.
1900 married Louisa Edwards at Wrexham.
1918 MSc from University of Wales, Bangor where he was a lecturer.
1924 retired to Cheltenham.
1931 moved to Bristol.
Died 6 October 1936.
