Biography
Horace Pearce was born at Hadley Lodge, Shropshire on 21 November 1838. A quiet man with a general scientific interest he was Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society, the Geological Society, and the Linnean Society, member of the Swiss Alpine Club, the Bimingham Naturalist Soc., and of the Worcestershire Naturalists' Field Club of which he was a president. He died on 19 February 1900 at his home at The Limes, Stourbridge.
