Dr Kurt Harz (1858-1939)
Biography
German botanist and university teacher, who was born at Haigerloch in Sigmaringen (Baden-Württemberg). Teacher in Kulmbach, 1902-1913, Professor in Bamberg, and in 1913 at the Ludwig-District Secondary School in Munich. Member Royal Botanical Society of Regensburg (Königlich Bayrisch Botanischen Gesellschaft in Regensburg, now Regensburgische Botanische Gesellschaft).
Author of "Die Flora der Gefäßpflanzen von Bamberg" (The flora of the vascular plants of Bamberg).
Hand-written labels often in difficult to decipher German Gothic script.
