Biography
Reginald Philip Gregory (1879-1918).
Born at Trowbridge, Wiltshire.
Educated at Weston-super-Mare.
1898 scholar at St John’s College, Cambridge and took the Natural Sciences Tripos.
1902-1907 Demonstrator in Botany.
1907 Lecturer.
1910-1918 volunteer worker at John Innes Horticultural Institute.
Discovered the 'giant races' of Primula sinensis with double the normal number of chromosomes.
Died of pneumonia in October 1918.
