N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

The hand writing sometimes comes with an annotation in pencil - H H Haines.

The specimens range over a period of 40+ years, and includes periods when Henry Haselfoot Haines was Conservator of Forests in India.
However, there were various members of the Haines family who collected plants and insects, including his brother and his nieces.

At the moment, it is probably best to ascribe such sheets as ex herb Haines - as they may be associated with the family - though the actual provenance remains a bit of a mystery.
