Triticum laxum Fr. was subsequently named Elymus x laxus (Fr.) Melderis & D. McClintock (see Watsonia 14 (1983) p. 394) and is now (Stace 3) Elytrigia x laxa (Fr.) Kerguelen (E. repens x E. juncea).

On the ground only of known distribution it seems unlikely to be that taxon.
