H@H menu gives us James Cruikshanks, but name is spelt James Cruikshank - see http://herbariaunited.org/specimen/279213/
A search of James Cruikshanks gives us a different set of specimens from a search of J Cruikshank. |

It looks as though all the h@h James {Cruickshanks/Cruickshank} specimens refer to the same person.
He is listed as Cruickshanks in Kent & Allen, but in Britten & Boulger as Cruickshank (which also gives a precise date-of-death: 3/12/1847)
I've edited together the entries. Given that the name is fairly common I wonder if multiple collectors are being conflated in K&A and B&B - would be interesting to see more specimens from elsewhere to see if 'Cruickshanks' is also in common use on labels.
