N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

Quite! Collectors from Dulwich rarely give names, instead providing difficult to read initials. Once you have put in Dulwich as the herbarium clicking or typing in the collectors box should give a list of clues. I would go for M D in this case (12+ instances already). Another common one is J H P.

Please note that the databse will store collector 'M.D' separately from 'M D', I think the convention is not to use dots but to use spaces when dealing with initials. Sorry to be a bore.

Thanks for mentioning the punctuation issue with names.

Although it can seem a minor point, it can make a huge difference to how efficiently the database can be search and names identified.

The other problem with the system's name matching is that entries consisting of surname and initials are not automatically expanded into full names. Wherever possible please pick names from the drop-down lists (provided of course the suggested name is correct) rather than leaving the name in an abbreviated form. Names entered into the system are either linked together (often including dates and other biographical information) or, if they cannot be matched, then they remain dissociated and much less usable.
