Sometimes when I add a grid reference as a tetrad (e.g. TQ45A), often while editing a previously annotated sheet, the block turns pink or orange. Is there something that the database doesn't like please? |

I think the 'A', so that adding it is counter-productive, ie the place will not necessarily show up on any search. Better to just have the TQ45 or get a 4-fig ref using Streetmap, OS etc |

The database stores tetrad letters but the system doesn't at present correctly map them. That should be seen as a bug in the system, which I need to correct.
Where 2km precision is appropriate for a site or if a collector specifies such a reference then the tetrad letter should be included - even though this is currently being mis-flagged as an error. I'll modify the mapping links so that the references are coped with properly. |
